Do I have Imposter Syndrome?
I feel other people have an overinflated view of me.
My successes happened because of luck, being in the right place at the right time, or other people – or they ‘just happened’.
I have this fear that one day I might be ‘found out’.
I sometimes feel like a fraud.
The very fact I do OK at my job means it’s much less difficult than everybody thinks.
‘Good enough’ is rarely good enough.
I find it hard to start new things, or to know what else I could do with my life or career, because the thought of starting at the bottom is terrifying.
The more these statements resonate, the more likely it is that Imposter Syndrome is holding you back.
What are the effects of Imposter Syndrome?

Low mood
Whenever your Imposter shows up, you experience doubt, anxiety, frustration, and lack of confidence and self-esteem.

Fear
You fear more is expected of you than you can manage, so you feel unable to deliver. You can’t imagine starting again or doing something completely different.

Blocks Decisions
You find it hard making decisions about potential changes in your personal life (but you might be a very confident decision maker at work) – OR vice versa.

No Progress
You might hold yourself back from seeking higher achievements or stay in the same company, role or sector even though you want to move on.

OK, so how do I fix it?
Your Imposter is a tricky customer.
They won’t be happy to leave very quickly. Truly ousting your Imposter could take some time – so this Deep Dive stays realistic and focuses on what’s achievable. So we tackle what’s most important at the beginning: getting started.
So in our 90-minute Deep Dive, I will guide you to identify opportunities to break your Imposter Cycle.
We will draw up an action plan for next steps, to begin retraining your brain to believe in you.

Deep Dive FAQ
Will this Deep Dive get rid of my Imposter Syndrome?
That’s not impossible, but in the space of 90 minutes, nor is it our aim. We keep a realistic and achievable focus – namely, to get started, identify opportunities to weaken your Imposter’s grip on you, and make a solid plan for next steps.
If you want deeper work on Imposter Syndrome, consider my flexible tailored coaching.
What happens during the Deep Dive?
I ask you questions to explore and understand your situation before introducing you to the key concepts of Imposter Syndrome. We work together to pinpoint your Imposter’s weak spots.
We take advantage of Zoom’s screenshare, digital whiteboard, chat and fileshare functions to finalise your achievable plan.
Is this the same as counselling or therapy?
No. While there are overlaps, coaching is usually focused on the future and empowers you to achieve a stated goal.
Coaching is for people who are “basically OK”. It doesn’t aim to ‘treat’ a problem. Only you will know if you’re basically OK – and if not, please seek counselling or therapy instead.
Forget group webinars.
Why get lost in the crowd?
Why put up with generalisations and boring PowerPoints?
It’s your situation, your goals, your life.
I put 100% focus on YOU.
